"title": "Five Things I'd Recommend in Prague",
 "content_html": "
If you’re heading to Prague and want a shortlist of things actually worth your time, here’s what I’d point you toward, based on my own personal experience exploring the city. I flew into Prague airport with Jet2, and took an Uber to the city centre, which was very affordable.
\n
Stay at Hotel Bologna\nA great base in the city, the hotel is just a few minutes from everything and the breakfast was a great start to the morning. Book direct through their website and you’ll usually save over the booking platforms.
\n
Walk Charles Bridge\nGo early if you can. By mid-morning it gets busy, but in the quiet it’s one of those views that actually lives up to the pictures.
\n
Climb Petřín Tower\nWorth the effort for the views across the city. When I went the funicular was out of order due to storm damage, so be prepared to put the steps in to get to it!.
\n
Book a Medieval Night\nThis was an amazing experience. Great food, beer included, plenty of entertainment, and it’s very social - we met some great people here!
\n
Have a beer at U Pinkasů\nOne of the oldest pubs in Prague. Pilsner Urquell was on tap with no fuss, exactly what a Czech beer should be.
\n
Take a river cruise\nA good way to slow things down and see the city from a different angle. Surprisingly relaxing after a day on your feet. Many are no frills, but operated by locals playing accordions and serving good food.
\n
\n
A practical note: Virtually everywhere takes card, but it’s worth having a little cash for smaller spots and market stalls. Book your Uber on the app and head to the pickup point instead of using the Uber Airport service - it was twice the price.
\n
For tours and activities, Get Your Guide is worth a look before you go (not an affiliate link, it’s just the site we used to book our activities).
\n",
